Betty L. Peterson

Betty L. Peterson, 89, of Osage City, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016.
She was born December 9, 1926 in Lyndon, Kansas, the daughter of Joe and Ethel (Sawyer) Peterson. She graduated from Harveyville High School.
Betty worked at Hallmark Cards in Topeka and was later employed as a clerk for the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.
Miss Peterson was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Topeka.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews as well as numerous friends in the area. She was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings.
Betty will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. on Monday, January 18 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave in Topeka where a visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Cremation will follow the visitation and the private burial of her cremated remains will be held at a later date at Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka.
