Betty L. Palmer, 87, of Topeka, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014.
She was born April 15, 1926, in Winchester, Kansas, the daughter of Leroy and Grace (Davis) Martin. She was a graduate of Winchester High School.
Betty was employed by the State of Kansas before retiring.
Mrs. Palmer was a member of Central Park Christian Church, Topeka.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn (Keith) Dunn, Scranton, KS; two sons, Bob (Vickie) Palmer, Topeka and Chuck (Annette) Palmer, Kingman, AZ; four grandchildren, Brad Palmer, Justin Palmer, Chrystal Rogers and Tonya Rogers; and eight great-grandchildren, Colton, Logan, Madison and Keelan Palmer, De'Andre, Paige and Isaiah McFreen, and Trinity Altic. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Kenneth Martin, Don Martin and Ted Martin; and a sister, Frances Nelson.
A memorial ceremony will be 2 p.m., Thursday, January 9, 2014 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Park Christian Church, 1535 SW Clay St, Topeka, KS 66604.
