Betty LaVerne Harlow
An angel returned home on 31 May 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. Betty LaVerne Harlow (McKeever) was born April 12, 1930, to Clyde and Grace McKeever in rural Meriden, KS. She graduated from Hoyt High School in 1948.
She attended Kansas City Business College graduating in April, 1949. She married William Harlow at the Church of the Assumption 25 April 1953. She spent 23 years as an Air Force bride, traveling the world with her husband.
She leaves to mourn her death her husband: William "Bill" Harlow and siblings: Robert McKeever (Avis), Harry McKeever (Rose) and Dean McKeever (Georgia) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents; her sister: Frances McNeive (Harold); and a brother: Charles McKeever (Gloria and Juanita).
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 4, 2015, at Saint David's Episcopal Church, 17th and Gage with graveside services at Rochester Cemetery, 1200 NW Menninger Road, Topeka.
Betty will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Wednesday, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.
