OBITUARY: Betty Louise Frey
Betty Louise Frey, 89, Silver Lake, died Wed., April 19, 2012. She was born March 3, 1923, at Elmont, the daughter of Walter J. and Edith A. (Freeman) Mitchell. She was a member of Fairlawn Church of the Nazarene and Silver Lake Senior Citizens. Betty was a homemaker and was the first lady bus driver for Silver Lake U.S.D. # 372. She was married to William W. "Bill" Frey on Jan. 23, 1944, at Topeka. He preceded her in death on Aug. 8, 1996. She was also preceded in death by a son, William Robert "Bob" Frey, on Dec. 5, 1965. Surviving are a daughter: Mary Jo Kippes (Harvey) of Topeka; a son: Darrel W. Frey (Barbara) of Silver Lake; 6 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Mon., April 23, 2012, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave. Interment in Prairie Home Cemetery.
