Betty L. Braden, 81, Topeka, died Sunday, April 20, 2003, at a Topeka nursing home.
Mrs. Braden worked at the Ramada Inn Downtown in Topeka for 25 years.
She served as a foster grand-parent at Kansas Neurological Institute for more than 35 years.
She was born April 29, 1921, in Topeka to Joseph Wheeler and Catherine Taylor Mullin.
She married Charles V. Braden on Aug. 1, 1939. He died June 21, 1982.
Survivors include three sons, Thomas J. Braden and Ronnie E. Braden, both of Topeka, and William H. Braden, Olive Hill, Ky.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Parker-Price Mortuary. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Braden will lie in state after 3 p.m. Wednesday, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
