OBITUARY: Betty Kruger

Betty Kruger, age 76, Silver Lake, KS, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at Brandon Woods nursing home in Lawrence, KS. She was born May 12, 1932, in Topeka, KS, and lived most of her life in Silver Lake. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Donald Eugene Kruger, and son, Harley (Dale) Kruger.

Betty was the mother of four sons: Lon Kruger of Las Vegas, NV, Mike Kruger, Jerry Kruger, and David Kruger, all of Silver Lake, KS; and daughter: Terry O'Bryan of Leawood, KS. She had 16 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; 1 step-great-grandson; and 2 more great-grandchildren on the way.

There will be a memorial service celebrating the life of Betty Kruger at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 2, 2008, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka, KS. Burial will be in Prairie Home Cemetery in Topeka following the service. Betty will lie in state after 1:00 PM, Sunday, June 1, at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, Sunday evening (casual dress).
