OBITUARY: Betty June Boydston
Betty June Boydston, 83, Topeka, died Tues., Dec. 24, 2008, at McCrites Plaza. She was born June 16, 1925, in Topeka, the daughter of Clifford and Lottie Mobley. She was married to Leo Boydston who preceded her in death. Betty was also preceded in death by a son, Terry Thornton. Surviving are 2 sons: Ray Powers of Wichita and Robert Boydston of Centralia; a daughter: Nancy Boydston of Topeka; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and special cousins: Joe and Ginny Ashton of Topeka. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Fri., Dec. 26, 2008, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Interment in Topeka Cemetery. Betty will lie in state at the funeral chapel after 9:00 AM Fri., where the family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
