Betty A. Cloud, 80, Grantville, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Midland Hospice House.
Betty was born June 18, 1928 in Kansas City, the daughter of John and Anna (Walsh) Coughlin.
She graduated from Topeka High School in 1946.
She was employed by the State of Kansas, Department of Revenue as a Tax Examiner, retiring in 1994.
Betty married Bob Dean Cloud, Sr. on August 31, 1946 in Topeka. He died January 26, 1999.
Survivors include two sons, Bob D. Cloud, Jr, Perry, David A. Cloud, Grantville; six daughters, Carole Williams, Omaha, NE, Michele Bradbury, Grantville, Pamela Nichol, Perry, Christine Van Sickle and Debra Cunningham, both of Topeka, and Kathleen Henkensiefken, Berryton; 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marie Ostick. She was also preceded in death by a son, Patrick Cloud, and two sisters, Helen Urban and Lucy Manning
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 21, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Parker- Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Burial will follow in Grantville Cemetery. Betty will lie in state at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. on Sunday and visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
