Bessie Marie Manis, 81, Auburn, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2006 at a local hospital.
Bessie was born January 15, 1925 in Mayetta, the daughter of Hugh and Marie Valentine Lister.
She married Lowell Manis on March 6, 1943 in Blackstone, VA. He died in 1980. Other survivors include two sons; Leslie Manis, Ottawa, and Steven Manis, Topeka, two daughters; Connie Eddy, Harveyville, and Brenda Pliler, Topeka, 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel in North Topeka.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 837 S. Hillside, Wichita, Kansas 67211.
