OBITUARY: Berton Earl Mitchell

Berton Earl Mitchell, born October 23, 1918, passed away December 23, 2006, in Andover, Kansas. He is survived by his wife Viola Mitchell, son Lawrence Mitchell, son-in-law James Donahue, brother Robert Mitchell, five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. After leaving the family farm in North Shawnee County he had a long career in sales and worked until mid-year 2005. Berton was a member of the First Christian Church. Services will be held at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 N.W. Independence, Topeka, on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at 1:00 pm. Berton will lie in state at the funeral chapel after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday.Memorial contributions can be made to the First Christian Church, 1880 S.W. Gage, Topeka, KS 66604-3380.
