Bernice Helen Cremer, 87, Topeka, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, in Topeka. She was born July 28, 1916, in Topeka, the daughter of Charles and Rose (Doty) Brown. Bernice worked in food service at Brewster Place for several years. She was an avid reader. She was preceded in death by three sons. Survivors include two sons, Robin Cremer and Charles Cremer, both of Topeka; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Rochester Cemetery. Bernice Cremer will lie in state after 3 p.m. today at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, where family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Capper Foundation, 3500 S.W. 10th St., Topeka, 66604.
