Barbara L. Bailey, 83, of Hoyt, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014.
She was born April 28, 1931, in Seattle, Washington, the daughter of Lee William and Ruth Faye (Clark) Toohey. She was a graduate of Gresham High School, Gresham, OR.
Barbara was employed by the Mack Trucks for 20 years, retiring in 1981.
Mrs. Bailey was a member of the Topeka Roadrunners Booster Club.
Barbara married William R. Bailey on February 5, 1949 in Portland, OR. He preceded her in death on January 18, 2009. Survivors include three sons, Christopher R. (Marla) Bailey, Hoyt, KS, Gary L. (Jo) Bailey, Taylor, TX and William R. Bailey, Jr., Philippines; five grandchildren, Katie, Bobbi, Cassidy, Alexis and James; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Robert Toohey.
Barbara enjoyed Topeka Road Runners Hockey and attending the Country Stampede.
Mrs. Bailey was cremated. No services are planned. Entombment will be at the Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Mesa, AZ. Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel is assisting the family.
