B. Delorise Lister, 89, of Topeka, died on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Midland Hospice House.
Delorise was born on March 19, 1924 in Topeka to George G. and Bertha Marie (Fritz) Coon. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1942.
Delorise was a lifelong resident of Topeka and retired from Fleming Company after 25 years of employment.
Delorise married Eugene Marshall Lister on June 26, 1943 in Topeka; he preceded her in death in 1998.
Survivors include 6 daughters, Sheila (David) Forrer, Sally (Larry) Moore, Marsha (James) Gilbert, Doris Bauer-Lister, Ginger (Bill) McDaniel, Lisa Lister, one sister, Helen Lang, seven grandchildren, as well as many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by 8 sisters and one brother.
Delorise will lie in state after 3 p.m., Tuesday, December 10 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00p.m. A graveside service will take place at 1:00p.m., Wednesday, December 11 at West Lawn Memorial Gardens, 820 SW Auburn Rd., Topeka.
