Arvis Aldeane Miller, 96, of Topeka passed away on September 27th, 2023. She was born on November 16th, 1926 in Admire, Kansas to William & Mary (Eisenhower) Olsen. After graduating Admire High School, Arvis moved to Topeka. After graduating, Arvis worked for Capper Publications for three years, and lived at the local YWCA. She worked at Stormont Vail in the admitting office, and later, part time at Goodyear for 12 years.
In 1947, she married Dodds Miller. Together they had three children. Arvis and Dodds were members of Second Presbyterian Church. A lifelong musician, Arvis loved to play piano, and would play at church and for the residents of Presbyterian Manor. She also played violin and sang in the church choir. Arvis enjoyed traveling, cruises and finding the best restaurants. She was very outgoing, and would make friends wherever she was. She had made many friends as an avid walker.
Preceding Arvis in passing are her parents, and her husband of 67 years. Also preceding her in passing is her sister, Bonnie Stinson; Grandson Jeff Graybeal; Granddaughter, Amanda Miller; and Great-Grandson Dylan Graybeal.
Arvis is survived by her children, Linda (Ron) Graybeal, of Overland Park; Randall Miller of Auburn; and Arnold (Esther) Miller of Rossville. Also surviving Arvis are her grandchildren, Kyndra (Scott) Morris; Jared (Gretchen) Renyer; Avery Miller; and Hannah Miller. Arvis also leaves behind five great-grandchildren, Kayla (Michael) Frendak; Katelynn Morris; Emily Morris; Drake Graybeal; and Barrett Renyer. Two Great-Great-Granddaughters survive as well, Lilah & Lane Frendak.
Visitation will take place at 10am on Tuesday, October 3rd, at Parker-Price Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow. Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery.
