Arthur Brett McCarter

November 24, 1972 — October 21, 2024

Arthur Brett McCarter, born on November 24, 1972, in Topeka, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly on October 21, 2024, in the same beloved city. He leaves behind a legacy of humor, kindness, and a great love for family and friends.

Throughout his career, Arthur dedicated his working life to various roles at Payless Shoe Source, Walmart, Resers and Burger King. He was known for his great sense of humor, always ready with a joke or a playful prank that brought joy to those around him. His willingness to help others was a hallmark of his character; he was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.

Arthur’s devotion to his dogs, Sammy and Dino, was profound; they were truly the world to him. He cherished every moment spent watching KU games at the bar with his sister, Carolyn, and enjoyed attending football games with his father, Bill McCarter. His passions extended beyond the gridiron, as he was also an ardent fan of the Dallas Cowboys and had a keen interest in Fantasy Football. Additionally, he was an accomplished softball player, showing dedication and enthusiasm in every game he played.

Education was important to Arthur. He earned an Associate's Degree from Bryan College and graduated from Highland Park High School. These achievements laid a foundation for a life filled with lasting friendships and memorable experiences.

Arthur is survived by his loving wife, Lisa McCarter, and his siblings: sister Carolyn (Jerry) McCart, brother Terry (Debbie) McCarter, along with his cherished dogs, Sammy and Dino. He joins his parents, Bill and Shirley McCarter, and sisters Linda Baxley and Karen McCarter, who will be waiting for him on the other side.
