Obituary: Arthur Lewis "Popsi" Petersilie
Arthur Lewis "Popsi" Petersilie, 83, Lecompton, passed Sun., Sept. 2, 2012, at his home. He was born Aug. 23, 1929, at Bazine, one of 13 children born of Charles W. and Pearl (Reynolds) Petersilie.
Arthur was married to Ethyl M. Rainbolt on Feb. 18, 1951, at Larned. Surviving are his wife: Ethyl M. Petersilie of the home: children: Clydeen M. Logan, Donna S. Simmons, Shirley J. Mathes, Janet K. Barber, and Kenneth W. Petersilie; 3 siblings; 13 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM, Thurs., Sept. 6, 2012, at Big Springs United Methodist Church, 96 Highway 40, Big Springs (Lecompton), Douglas County, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Assoc., 4125 SW Gage Center Dr., Suite LL-15, Topeka, KS 66604.
