Arlie Price, Jr., 61, of Ozawkie, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2010.
He was born March 2, 1949 in Houston, Mississippi, the son of Arlie and Sadie B. (Hester) Price, Sr.
He was employed by McAnany Construction Inc., Shawnee, KS.
He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 101.
Arlie married Sandra L. Deese on October 5, 1979 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Amy Nicole Price Hook and her husband, Chris and their children, Aubrey and Kylee Hook of Shawnee, KS and Sherry and Scott Lester and their children, Brenda, Jessica, Cassie and Jacob of Scranton, KS; six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Shirley Simnick, Dorothy Ciecierski, Linda Anderson and Marsha McDonald; and a brother, Donald Price.
He is survived by four siblings, Peggy Price, Kansas City, KS, Danny Price, Topeka, Leonard Price, Lansing, KS, and Lonnie Price of Cinebar, WA.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Monday, October 25, 2010 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Topeka. Mr. Price will lie in state after 1 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 1315 SW Arrowhead Rd, Topeka, KS 66604.
