OBITUARY: April D. Myers
April D. Myers, 31, of Council Bluffs, IA, died in a plane crash in Council Bluffs, IA on Fri., Feb. 16, 2007.
April was born on April 13, 1975, in Topeka, KS the daughter of Larry and Joyce Myers. She grew up in Topeka and graduated from Seaman High School. April graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor's of Agriculture degree in Greenhouse and Nursery Management.
April was Head Grower at Dallas Johnson Greenhouses in Council Bluffs, IA. She was an Iowa Master Gardener. April also was an active volunteer at Lauritzen Gardens, Omaha's Botanical Center. April lived life to the fullest. Flowers and gardening were just some of her passions in life. She loved her family, friends, and her four cats - Morgan, Willie, Bud and CC.
Survivors include her parents: Larry and Joyce Myers; sister and brother-in-law: Lori and Mark Dutton; nephew: Gavin Dutton; and grandparents: Alice Myers and the late Warren Myers and Velma Walker and the late Glen Walker.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Sat., Feb. 24, 2007, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka, KS. Burial will follow in Rochester Cemetery. April will lie in state after 3:00 PM Friday at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.
