Anna Mae LaRue

Anna Mae LaRue, 87, Tecumseh, KS, died Monday, October 13, 2014, at Midland Hospice House. Born January 27, 1927, in Fort Scott, to Roy Douglas and Agnes Catherine (Lewis) Faught. Anna attended Topeka Schools.

She was a member of the Auxiliary to Topeka North Post # 400 of the American Legion. She had worked at Jostens Yearbook, retiring in 1982.

Married Elby G. Howey. He died in 1980. Preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Howey.

Married to Wilbur LaRue in 1982. "Love of my life."

Also surviving are two daughters: Janice Russo of Topeka and Bonnie Odgers of Overbrook; five granddaughters; twelve great-granddaughters; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, October 17, 2014, at Mount Hope Cemetery, 4700 SW Seventeenth, Topeka, KS.

Anna will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Thursday, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.

Memorial contribtions may be made to Topeka North Post # 400 of the American Legion, 3029 NW Highway 24, Topeka, KS 66618.
