OBITUARY: Anita Marie Crummey
Anita Marie Crummey, 53, Topeka, passed away on Fri., Nov. 4, 2011, at Midland Hospice Care. She was born on Nov. 29, 1957 in Topeka. Anita was employed by Topeka Lumber Co., Caldwell John Deere, and later in life was a daycare provider. She was married to Douglas A. Crummey on July 27, 1996, at Kick Start Saloon in North Topeka. Surviving are her husband: Douglas A. Crummey; 2 sons: Brennan Allen Crummey and Eithan Michael Crummey; a daughter: Jennifer Lynn Simonds; 2 sisters: Sheryl (Tom) Sommers and Judy Pachosa; her father: Robert L. McVay; grandchildren: Taron, Trever, Alexis, Blaine, T.J. and Macey; nieces: Dawn (Curtis) Pilot and Paula (Bryan) Canon; many much loved great nieces and great nephews; and special friend, "My Vickey," whom she loved as a daughter. She was preceded in death by her mother, Pebble J. Weiler, and her step-father, Benjamin H. Weiler. Funeral services for Anita will be at 1:00 PM, Fri., Nov. 11, 2011, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka. Following the service, Anita will travel to the Shawnee County Crematory in a Motorcycle Hearse, from Last Ride Motorcycle Hearse Co., Springfield, MO. Anita will lie in state after 1:00 PM, Thurs., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
