Andre L Meredith

Andre L. Meredith, Sr., 50, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 3, 2021.  He was born November 9, 1970 in Oakland, California the son of Charles Meredith and Danice Baker-Davis.  Andre was raised in Oakland.   He and LaVonne moved to Topeka from California in 2004.   In Topeka he had worked at Gurss Motors and Boudman Family Motors.   He was currently a Target Team Warehouse Member at the Target Distribution Center.  He was a member of Greater Deliverance Missionary Baptist Church.  He loved to fish.  Andre was a big fan of his hometown Golden State Warriors and Oakland Raiders.  He was his kids' biggest sports fan, attending all their games.  Andre also liked to travel, watch movies, ESPN, and spending time with his grandkids.

Survivors include his wife LaVonne of Topeka, KS; children, Andre Meredith, Jr., Jorden Meredith, Geneva Meredith, all of Topeka, KS, Brittany Lane of Buckeye, AZ and Jasmine Mesner of Edmund, Oklahoma; three brothers, George, Aaron, and Yancey Meredith, all of Oakland, California; two sisters, Teresa Meredith of Sacramento and Malayah Murquia of Ukiah, California; 10 grandchildren, Akili, Ameryous, Andre III, Alishay, Dominique, Mason,  Alysia, Nuri, Nya, and Nia.

Andre was preceded in death by his parents Charles Meredith and Danice Baker-Davis; son Jo’Heem Meredith in May of 2020; and two brothers, Akili Simson and Robert Meredith.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home on Friday, June 11, 2021.  Funeral services will begin at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.    www.davidsonfuneral.com
