Amy Kennedy

Amy Lynn Kennedy, beloved wife, mom, grandma, daughter, and sister, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at her home in Hoyt, KS at age 65. She was born on December 22, 1957 in Topeka, KS to Lloyd and Mary Jo Rumold. From a young age Amy loved horses, and she studied horse production at Colby Community College before working on horse farms and then moving back to Topeka, where she met her husband Mark Kennedy while working for the postal service. They raised their daughters at their home in Hoyt, KS and were committed members of Northland Christian Church. Amy was a loyal friend, passionate gardener, independent thinker, and lifelong student of the Bible.

She was very loved and will be missed by her husband Mark, daughters Anne, Jessica, Megan, Sarah, and Rachel, brothers Allen and Tony, parents, grandchildren, and many others.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Northland Christian Church (3102 NW Topeka Blvd, Topeka, KS 66617). Funeral services will be 10:00 am on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Northland Christian Church. Interment will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to World Relief Western Washington (23835 Pacific Highway S, Kent, WA 98032)
