OBITUARY: Mrs. Alma "Sue" Anderson
Mrs. Alma "Sue" Anderson, 98, Topeka, died Tues. afternoon, Dec. 5, 2006, at St. Francis Hospital's Emergency Room. She was born Jan. 30, 1908, at Warriors Mark, PA, the daughter of Edgar George and Lucy Belle (Fisher) Fetterhoof. She had lived at Salina before moving to Silver Lake where she spent most of her life; and for the past 17 years had lived at Atria Hearthstone.
She graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University with a B.A. and received her Master's Degree from the University of Arizona. Sue taught school at Silver Lake for 23 years, before moving to Coolidge, AZ where she taught for another 10 years.. She was a member of the Silver Lake United Methodist Church and Loyal Chapter # 176, Order of the Eastern Star (Past Matron).
She was married to William Thomas Anderson on Aug. 24, 1934, at Lincoln, NE. He preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1981. She was also preceded in death by a step-son, William D. Anderson.
Surviving are 2 daughters : Patricia Kratina (George) of Silver Lake and Judy K. Brown (Donald, Jr.) of Berryton; 4 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m., Sat., at Silver Lake United Methodist Church. Interment of cremains will be in Silver Lake Cemetery.
