Allen Carl Rathke, 63, of Circleville, passed away on November 5, 2020 at Colmery-O'Neil Veterans Medical Center.
He was born on June 15, 1957 to Carl and Betty (Allen) Rathke at Emporia, KS.
Allen was self-employed as an electrical contractor for 20 years.
On November 21, 1991, he married Gerri Rathke. Allen and Gerri lived in Circleville, Kansas.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 342 and Friends of Bill W.
Allen was a Master Sargent in the United States Air Force, served and retired from the 190th Refueling Group at Forbes Field.
Allen lived life to the fullest and never met a stranger.
Allen was an avid hunter, fisherman, and animal lover. He loved dogs and horses and participated in horse rescue.
Allen is survived by his loving wife, Gerri Rathke; daughters, Rebecca Rathke and Sara Rathke; sons, Jeff Mendez and Jason Mendez; eight grandchildren; sisters, Connie Mayes, Janie (Dan) Kirk, and Paula (Frank Suggs) Rangel; and many nieces and nephews.
Allen will lie in state at Parker-Price Funeral Home on Monday, November 9, 2020 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, with a visitation from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Olpe, KS.
