Allen E. Petri

Allen E. Petri, age 79, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at the Plaza West Care Home. Allen was born July 5, 1942 in Green Bay, Wisconsin the son of Arno and Dell (Banta) Petri. Allen graduated from Green Bay West High School. He met Donna Shreves at Lincoln Christian College and they were married January 11, 1963 in Green Bay. She preceded him in death February 3, 2021. Allen worked as the Director of Purchasing for Topeka #501 School District. Allen was active with the Coast Guard Auxiliary for many years. He and Donna were active members of various Topeka churches where they served as song leaders and taught Sunday School. In later years, they were active with Silver Lake First Baptist Church. Allen is survived by a daughter, Erica (Bill) Riley of Topeka; a brother, Harley (Carol) Petri of Lincoln, Illinois; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Memorial services will be Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Silver Lake First Baptist Church.
