Alissa R. Spencer

Katelynn Danielle Spencer, 8, and Alissa Ruthann Spencer, 5, of Meriden, KS, died Wed., July 28, 2010, at Meriden. Their younger sister, Madelynn Nicole Spencer, 4, died Thurs., July 29, 2010, at Children's Mercy Hospital, K.C, MO.

Katelynn was born Dec. 13, 2001 in K.C., KS. Katie had just completed the 2nd grade at Valley Falls. She was a member of the Valley Falls Brownie Scouts and Prosperity 4-H Club.

Alissa was born Sept. 15, 2004, in K.C., KS. She had just completed pre-school at Valley Falls and was a member of the Valley Falls Daisy Scouts. She was a Clover Bud in the Prosperity 4-H Club.

Madelynn " Maddie" was born April 10, 2006, in Shawnee, KS.

Surviving are their parents: Chad A. and Stephanie L. (Evans) Spencer of the home, Meriden; grandparents: Michael & Carol Evans of Valley Falls, KS, and Howard & Sharon Spencer of Bonner Springs, KS; great-grandparents: Virginia Masters of Mt. Morris, IL, Richard & Marilyn Evans of Monmouth, IL, Jackie Umbenhower of Bonner Springs, KS, Florence Spencer of Bonner Springs, KS, and Bert & Karen Craig of Hatfield, MO; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Sat., Aug. 7, 2010, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka. Interment in Bloomfield-St. Paul Cemetery, Meriden, KS. Katelynn, Alissa, and Madelynn will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Fri., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
