Alice Vivian Smith

Alice Vivian Smith, 77, of Topeka, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004. She was born Oct. 27, 1927, in Salina, to Ernest Clifford and Alberta Francis Main Merrill. Mrs. Smith was very active in Faith Family Life Centre Assembly of God, where she was a devout follower of her faith in Christ. She married Earl Dean Smith on May 9, 1943, in Salina. He survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Carol Sue Wilcoxson, Lawrence; a son, Terry Wayne Smith, Twentynine Palms, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Family Life Centre, 3710 N.W. Topeka Boulevard. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Gardens in Topeka. Mrs. Smith will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel in North Topeka after 3 p.m. Tuesday, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1315 S.W.
