Alice M. Smith Myers, 96, of Topeka, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014.
She was born October 3, 1917 in Robinson, Kansas, the daughter of Clayton Robert and Macy T. (Hundley) Smith.
Mrs. Myers attended Topeka Bible Church, Topeka.
Alice married Raymond N. Myers on September 22, 1934 in Atchison, Kansas. He preceded her in death on September 27, 1999. Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Hall, Ft. Pierce, FL, June Dewey, Holton, KS, Pamela (Gary) Jeffrey, Berryton, KS; twin sons, Jeff (Christine) Myers, Topeka and Michael (Lorie) Myers, Topeka; 14 grandchildren, Michelle, Lance, Bryan, Dan, Kerry, Tanain, Brett, Jon, Scott, Bradley, Rachel, Austin, Andrew and Lee; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Patricia Henderson, Long Beach, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Robert Myers and a sister, Mildred Ross.
Alice will lie in state after 3 p.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. A private family ceremony will held. Interment will be at the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka.
Alice was surrounded by family at her death. A special thanks to the caring staff at Brewster Place and Grace Hospice for their love and compassion for Alice.
