Alfred L. King Jr.

Alfred L. King, Jr., age 59, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022 at his home in Topeka.  Alfred was born February 8, 1963 in Topeka the son of Alfred L. King, Sr. and Karlin Jane Reece King.  He grew up in Topeka, attending Topeka High School.  He served in the National Guard from 1982 – 1996.  He had multiple working careers, nine years at the Topeka Rescue Mission and five years as the maintenance man at the Paradise Plaza.  He had many adventures, some good, some bad.

He is survived by a son, Christopher Knowles of Kenosha, WI; two brothers, Robert (Shari) King of Topeka and Billy (Stephanie) DeLay of Topeka; sisters, Karen (Teresa) King-Suggs of Topeka, Dawn Kennedy of Valley Falls and Suzie (Tony) Schmitt of Ballwin, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Betty Davis; 17 nieces and nephews and 13 great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Scott Davis.

Cremation is planned.  Alfred's family will have a private gathering at a later date.
