OBITUARY: Albert J. Meeting, Jr.
Albert J. Meeting, Jr., 80, Topeka, died at his home. He was born Aug. 24, 1928, at Ponca City, OK, the son of Mattie I. (Shelton) and Albert J. Meeting, Sr. Albert was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He moved to Topeka in 1957. He had been an office machine repairman. Albert was a member of Light of the World Christian Center, Topeka Post # 58 of the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, and NRA. His hobby was target shooting. Surviving are a brother: Clayton E. Stewart of Grandview, MO; 2 sisters: Bettie Markham of Murfreesboro, TN and Helen Nickelson of Valley Center; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Tues., April 14, 2009, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Military honors will be conducted at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00 PM, Mon., at the funeral chapel.
