Albert Elmer Drain

Albert Elmer Drain, 78, of Grantville, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021.   He was born on July 3, 1943 in Topeka.  His parents were Luther and Eva Phillips.  They preceded him in death.  Albert lived most of his life in the Topeka area.   He graduated from Seaman High School in 1965.  Albert began working at Goodyear later that same year.  He retired after working there for over 32 years.  He enjoyed taking care of his yard and home.  After retirement he took care of his family and grandkids.  At one time, Albert also enjoyed taking his family camping and fishing at Perry and Melvern.

He was married on August 7, 1965 at Oakland Church of the Nazarene to Helen Marie Taylor.   Helen preceded him in death on March 7, 2020.

Survivors include his daughter, Kimberly Schroeder (Wally) of Topeka; brother, Ricky Phillips of Topeka; sisters, Bernice Beskow and Teresa Kilpatrick in Mississippi, Clara Norris of Topeka; three grandchildren, Angel Creech, Dora Neeley (Travis) and Derek Huett; great grandchildren, Aiden, Alexa, Audrianna, Jaydin and Caleb.

He was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Lucinda “Cindy” and Darrin Huett in 1989.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 12 ^th at Davidson Funeral Home.   Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 13, 2021 at the funeral home.   Interment will follow in Topeka Cemetery.   Memorial contributions may be made to Post #400 of the American Legion.  www.davidsonfuneral.com
