OBITUARY: Agnes Elizabeth Glotzbach Noller
Agnes Elizabeth Glotzbach Noller , 86, Topeka, died Tues., Aug. 9, 2011, at Lexington Park. She was born May 8, 1925, in Paxico, the daughter of Ben and Katherine Glotzbach. She graduated from Paxico Rural High School May 13, 1942. She attended K-State and joined the Cadet Corps, and graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing. She was a supervisor at the Shawnee County Hospital and co-owned and operated a nursing home at 835 Tyler for several years. Agnes worked at St. Francis Hospital as an RN in the new born nursery until she retired in 1987. She married Leonard Thomas Noller Oct. 5, 1946. He died Nov. 28, 1985. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerome; daughter, Cindy; son Jim and his wife Dianne; and daughter-in-law, Madelene. Survivors include a daughter and three sons: Bob of Hoyt, Dan (Mary) of Topeka, John (Leslie) of Topeka and Linda (Cleo) McDonald of Silver Lake; a sister: Rita Heigert of Paxico; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She especially enjoyed playing in the band at Paxico High School. Agnes was active in her children's baseball, scouting, 4-H, and the Mothers Study Group at Rochester Grade School. She was a member of Mater Dei Catholic Parish (Assumption), Women of the Moose, American Legion Auxillary, Post 400, St. Francis Nursing Alumni. She was an early member of TARC in 1955. She enjoyed Bingo and Playing cards with friends and family. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM, Fri., Aug. 12, 2011, at Mater Dei Catholic Parish (Assumption), 204 SW 8th Ave. Interment in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Agnes will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Thurs., at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave., where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM, and the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.
