OBITUARY: Azella "June" Green
Azella "June" Green, 80, Topeka, died Wed., March 29, 2006 at Weslaco, TX. She was born Feb. 15, 1926, at Ionia, KS the daughter of Cassius Vernon and Nolene Elizabeth (Henry) Collie.
June retired from Josten's yearbook. She was a member of Seaman Congregational United Church of Christ; Fidelity Chapter # 38, Order of the Eastern Star of Carbondale; and Leisure World Red Hat Society of Weslaco.
On June 12, 1945, she was married to Charles John Green. He survives of the home.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter: Sheila Rae Kratina of Delia; 2 sons: Darrell William Green of Bartlett, IL and Lynn Eugene Green of Overland Park; a sister: Maurine Johnston of Olympia, WA; a brother: Dale Collie of Topeka; 4 grandchildren: Michelle Voegels of Klamath Falls, OR, 1 Lt Ernest Kratina III, U.S. Army, Erin Green of Overland Park, and Kyle Green of Overland Park; and 3 great-grandchildren: Hans, Dieter, and Isabela.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tues., April 4, 2006, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka. Interment will be in Topeka Cemetery. June will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
