Nola McDill Blinn, 88, of Topeka passed away on April 2, 2017. She was born October 5, 1928 in Oiltown, Oklahoma the daughter of Burrel and Altha McVay Graham. She graduated from Augusta High School in Augusta, Kansas in 1945. She lived in Hutchinson before moving to Topeka in 1967. She was a supervisor for Southwestern Bell before retiring in 1989. She enjoyed quilting, playing bridge and traveling. She especially enjoyed going on a cruise, going to Australia with her friend Doris and attending the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. She was very involved volunteering at her church, Central Presbyterian Church and later at Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Don McDill. She later married “Bud” Blinn who also preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Denise Blinn and husband Rick of Overland Park; son, Bob McDill and wife Kathy of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Jennifer Stathas, Matthew Blinn, Devin Blinn of Overland Park; and two great-grandchildren. Tristan Stathas and Aidan Stathas both of Overland Park.
Preceding her in death where her parents; two brothers, Don and Lester Graham and a sister, Rhea Graham.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 7 at Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be at 10 am Saturday, April 8 th at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Presbyterian Church or to Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church in care of Davidson Funeral Home who is assisting the family with arrangements.
