Guillermina "Emma" Gehrke

Emma Guillermina Gehrke, 79, of Topeka, passed away March 28, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital. Guillermina was born in San Juan De Guadalupe, Mexico on March 24, 1938 to Jose Rivera and Tiofila Mendoza.

Guillermina worked at Cardinals Building Service doing janitorial work for 27 years. She met Ronald Gehrke through friends when he needed a dancing partner. They later married on December 16, 1972 in Ciudad Acuna Coahuila, Mexico. Together they had 8 children.

Guillermina is survived by her husband Ronald; four sons, Juan Gerardo Martines Rivera, Juan Alberto Martines Rivera, Juan Recardo Martines Rivera, Derrick Alan Gehrke; three daughters, Rosa Ellias Hernandez Rivera, Diana Hernandez Gehrke Lehman, Carlotta Michelle Gehrke Blessing; and one sister; twenty-five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one son Juan Jesus Martines Rivera, and two brothers.

Memorial Service will be Friday, April 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.
