Patrick Timothy Rooney

Patrick T. Rooney, 50, of Wakarusa, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017. He was born July 21, 1966, the son of Noel and Sharon (Theis) Rooney at Dodge City, Kansas. Patrick was raised at Minneola and graduated from high school there in 1984. He graduated from Kansas State University in 1989.   He was a computer programmer by trade. He enjoyed his farm, collecting Hot Wheels, his pets: his dog, Juno, a barn full of cats, and his three horses.

Patrick was married to Brenna Lloyd on October 14, 1989, at Topeka.   Brenna survives at their home. Other survivors include his son, Dalton Rooney and his wife Adrianna, of Topeka; grandson, Brantley Rooney; parents, Noel and Sharon, of Las Cruces, New Mexico; brothers, Michael Rooney and wife Catherine of Dodge City, Davis Rooney and wife Marijo of Hays, and Frederic Rooney, of Palm Springs, CA; brother-in law, Brent Lloyd (Dayna) of Valley Falls; father-in-law, Gary Lloyd of Topeka and many cousins and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm on Friday evening, March 10, 2016 at Davidson Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at Round Mound Cemetery in Atchison County, on Saturday, March 11 ^th, at 2:00 pm with a procession leaving from the funeral home at 1:00 pm.
