Margaret Mabel Allensworth-Trader

Margaret M. Allensworth Trader, age 98 of Topeka, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at Midland Hospice House. Margaret was born August 27, 1918 in Elmont, KS the daughter of Arthur and Nellie Conwell Bartrum. She graduated from Seaman High School. She worked for various hotels cleaning. She also cleaned several homes for people.   Margaret married John Allensworth in September 1939 and he passed away in June of 1962. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jerry Allensworth in 2002. She is survived by two sons, John (Ronica Sue) Allensworth and Arthur (Brenda) Allensworth of Topeka; a sister, Helen Frye; five grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 10, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. She will lie in state Thursday from noon – 8:00 p.m. with visitation from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Half Day Cemetery in Elmont.
