Rex Eugene Mccarthy

Rex Eugene McCarthy, 62, of Topeka, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. Rex was born on August 20, 1954 to Charles McCarthy and Catherine Janet Boos. He graduated from Seaman High School in 1973. Rex was the owner and operator of McCarthy Motors in Meriden, Kansas.

Rex is survived by his mother Janet (Everett) Hamilton of Topeka; his wife, Sylvia; a daughter Trish (Jason) Williams of Topeka; brother Dennis McCarthy of Missouri; three sisters, Phyllis McCarthy of Kansas City, Susie Rabb of Topeka, and Janey McCarthy of Topeka and two granddaughters, Isabelle and Lanie and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the Davidson Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour before the services from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Interment will be at the Rochester Cemetery.
