Kenneth Eugene Large

Kenneth E. Large, age 75, of Topeka, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at Stormont Vail Hospital. Kenny was born May 5, 1941 in Topeka the son of Roy and Pauline Cooper Large. He graduated from Berryton High School. He married Carol Haller August 14, 1960 in Topeka. She preceded him in death November 22, 2000. Kenny managed United Refrigeration in Topeka. He was a member of the Northern Lights Bowling League. He enjoyed fast pitch softball for many years and loved to hunt and fish.
Kenny is survived by three sons, Tracy (Sherri) Large of Topeka, Jeffery (Cindy) Large of Olathe and Michael (Maggie) Large of Topeka; a daughter, Paula (Michael) Gross of St. Louis, MO; his companion, Carol Welch; a brother, Larry Large of Topeka; two sisters, Connie Jimenez and Brenda Thornton, both of Topeka; five grandchildren, Falicity, Josh, Malachi, Jacob and Myles and one great granddaughter, Jadyn.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. He will lie in state Thursday from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. with visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Topeka Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Helping Hands Humane Society and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home. davidsonfuneral.com
