Rex 04/23/1955 Shubkagel

Rex A. Shubkagel, 61, of Topeka went to be with the Lord on Thursday December 29, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 23, 1955 in Topeka the son of Harry and Thelma (Ausherman) Shubkagel. He graduated from Seaman High School in 1973. Rex lived in Kansas City for many years before moving back to Topeka in 2001. Rex was employed by Conwood Sales Company in the Kansas City. He won second place on America’s Funniest Home Video’s during the show’s second season. Rex was an avid skydiver, belonging to clubs in Topeka and Kansas City. Rex even skydived into Arrowhead Stadium several times. Rex was a devoted Christian and follower of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Survivors include his sister, June Glasgow and her husband Michael of Topeka; niece, Heidi Gisi of Topeka; nephew, Isaac Glasgow and wife Sarah of Scappose, Oregon and two great-nieces, Lucy and Tabby.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 7th, 2017 at Davidson Funeral Home, 1035 N Kansas, in Topeka. Private family inurnment will be held later at Prairie Home Cemetery.
