Verna A. Fell, 85, of Topeka passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016. She was born November 30, 1931 at Hutchinson, Kansas the daughter of Easley and Katherine Rademacher Austin. She graduated from Buhler High School. After living in Winfield and Pratt, Mrs. Fell moved to Topeka in 1990, continuing her career working for the State of Kansas. Verna attended Central Presbyterian Church in Topeka. She was an avid bridge player and belonged to several different bridge clubs. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was very involved in their lives. Verna and her family have very fond memories of the big family reunions in Arkansas City.
She was married to J. David Fell on July 1, 1951 in Hutchinson. Mr. Fell preceded her in death on April 29, 1988.
Survivors include her daughter, Cydne (Keith) Kocher of Topeka; son, Bruce Fell (Michelle) of Wamego; brother, James Austin of Springfield, MO; sister, Mary Dean House of Manhattan; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Roma Robertson.
Funeral services will be held at Davidson Funeral Home on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends after the service. Inurnment will be held on a later date at Highland Cemetery at Winfield, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice in care of Davidson Funeral Home.
