Laura Ann Lucero, age 70, of Topeka passed away Monday, December 12, 2016 at the St. Francis Hospital. Laura was born September 14, 1946 in Clay Center, Kansas the daughter of Albert and Lucille Woellhof Murrison. She graduated from Clay County Community High School in 1964. She operated her own daycare out of her home for over 38 years. She was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Topeka. Laura was a dedicated member of the Nut Roll Gang.
She married John A. Lucero March 6, 1966 in Clay Center. He survives. Other survivors include her son, Rick Lucero (Anne) in Sweden; daughters, Amy Peach (Steve) of Perry, Kansas, and Carrie Moody of Olathe, Kansas, James Moody of Olathe; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and two furry children, Oscar and Violet.
A memorial service will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church on Saturday, December 17th at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be made to the Helping Hands Humane Society in care of Davidson Funeral Home. To leave the family a message, please visit www.davidsonfuneral.com
