Mary Ann (Ferguson) Neiswender, age 83, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in Topeka. Mary Ann was born June 7, 1933 in Chapman, Kansas the daughter of Elmer Ferguson and Ella Fiest Ferguson. She graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1951. She married Donald G. Neiswender May 8, 1954 in Ottawa. He preceded her in death 1990. Mary Ann was a member of the Mother Teresa Catholic Church in Topeka. She was also active with the Shawnee County Hunters Safety Course where she served as past treasurer.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by a daughter, Susanne M. Williams; eight siblings, including a twin brother, James A. Ferguson. She is survived by three daughters, Jeanette (Kent) Miller of Silver Lake, Michelle A. Neiswender of Topeka and Lisa Elliott of Topeka; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mother Teresa Catholic Church. She will lie in state Tuesday from noon – 8:00 with Rosary at 6:30 p.m. followed by visitation 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mother Teresa Catholic Church and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home. davidsonfuneral.com.
