Gretchen M. Ferrell

Gretchen M. Ferrell, 86, of Topeka, went to be with the Lord September 12, 2016 at Midland Hospice House.
Born July 2, 1930, in Washington, Kansas, the daughter of William Anders Anderson and Marie Sophie Louise (Diedrichs) Anderson, she graduated from Washington High School in 1948, and from the University of Kansas in 1952. She was a member of Omicron Nu, honorary home economics society, and Phi Beta Kappa, honorary scholastic society. Mrs. Ferrell had attended Second Presbyterian Church for many years.
She married Donald L. Ferrell of Valley Falls, Kansas on August 19, 1951, in Washington, Kansas. He preceded her in death on April 13, 1996.
Survivors include two sons, Roger W. Ferrell of Hastings, Minnesota, and Douglas A. Ferrell of Topeka, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, September 16th at Davidson’s Funeral Home in Topeka. Burial will follow in Rochester Cemetery. Prior to the service the family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice in care of the funeral home.
