L. Curtis Lester

Lonnie Curtis Lester (Curtis) age 52 of Scranton passed away Wednesday August 17, 2016 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka. Curtis was born February 14, 1964 in Topeka, the son of Lonnie Lester and Mildred Chiles Lester. He was a man of many trades but cooking was his favorite. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs, Ku and royals fan. He is survived by his wife Carla Lester of Topeka, a brother Douglas Lester of Scranton, a sister Staci (Marten) Jones of Scranton, two children Amber (Shawn) Rendell of Scranton, Michael Lester of Topeka, one step daughter Lynn Allen of Topeka, four grandchildren 3 of whom he helped raise Harlie Nemechek, Jacob Nemechek, Nathan Nemechek, Aaron Rendell, one great grandchild Molly, two nieces Courtney Jones, Michaella Seastrom and one great niece Karli. A celebration of life will take place at the community building in Scranton at the city park starting at 2pm. Memorial contributions can be made to the Curtis Lester Memorial Fund at Envista Credit Union.
