Fred Hundertfund, 53, of Topeka passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016. He was born March 23, 1963 in Topeka the son of Merle Frederick Hundertfund and Shirley J. Lovelady Hundertfund. He lived his entire life in Topeka. Fred attended Little Brown Church of the Vale in North Topeka while growing up. In his early years, he was a CNA and worked at the United Methodist Home. You may have seen Fred, walking along Kansas Ave., at Let’s Help or sitting on a park bench. He wore a familiar red hat and his cane he used because of a stroke he had years ago. Everyone who crossed his path, was important to Fred at that moment. He was caring and would always be willing to help out someone else. He had a caring and generous heart. His grandfather gave each of his grandchildren nick-names. Fred’s was Ferdinand The Bull. He enjoyed watching wrestling on TV.
He is survived by his brothers, Kevin and Randy both of Topeka; Blynda Hundertfund of Topeka and Kathy McPherson of Ozawkie; his son Joseph Mclaren of Topeka and five grandchildren.
