Harvey Eugene Moore Sr.

Harvey E. Moore Sr., age 72 of Topeka passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016 at his home in Topeka. He was born January 23, 1944 in Topeka the son of Harvey and Georgina Burkhart Moore. He worked for Santa Fe Railroad as a Carman for over 43 years. He was a member of the Transportation Communication Union in Topeka. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. He married Jennie White, she preceded in death August 1, 2010. He married Diann Bennett Marconett November 30, 2013. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Harvey (Laura) Moore Jr. of Topeka; a daughter, Beth (Frank) Blean of Hoyt; a step daughter, Lisa (Jason) Markle of Fairfield, Ohio; a brother, Timothy Moore of Madison, KS; a sister, Debbie Watson of Tonganoxie; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a step daughter, Patty Schwinn. Harvey enjoyed fishing, camping and road trips, but most of all, he enjoyed taking care of his family.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 10:0 0 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. He will lie in state Wednesday from noon – 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be prayed at 5:00 p.m. with visitation to follow until 7:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Rochester Cemetery.
