Marylin J. Mullinix

Marylin J. Mullinix, 82, of Topeka passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2016. She was born July 23, 1934 at Merced, California the daughter of Herbert and Elsie Stevens Wisdom. Marylin was raised in California and graduated from high school at Merced. She worked for Josten’s 29 years before retiring. Marylin enjoyed watching the hummingbirds, playing Yahtzee and hanging out with the dogs Saydee and Harley.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Phillip D. Mullinix, They were married for over 41 years prior to his passing. She was also preceded in death by her twin sister, Marjorie J. Southerland.
Survivors include, her son, Jim Gibbons and his fiancé Julie McCrary both of Topeka; daughter, Teri Smith and her husband Larry of Arlington, Texas and several grandkids.
Cremation is planned. Private inurnment will be held at Topeka Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Topeka Shawnee County Helping Hands Humane Society.
