Mitchell Arthur Roy Wood, age 31, formerly of Dittmer, Missouri, currently of Meriden passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 in Meriden, KS. Mitchell was born July 15, 1985 in Potosi, Missouri the son of Arthur Roy Wood and Sherrye Denise Lamphier. Mitchell graduated from Grandview High School in Missouri. Mitchell worked for Ernest Spencer as an Industrial Painter.
Mitchell was preceded in death by his grandmother, Beatrice Cauley; a grandfather, Gilbert Lamphier and a step grandfather, George F. Lumley.
He is survived by his mother, Sherrye (Jamie) Keyes of Meriden, KS; his father, Arthur (Diane) Wood of Dittmer, MO; his maternal grandmother, Lois (Arlie Dee) Wade of Potosi, MO; a son, Princeton Arthur Roy Wood of Kingsville, TX; ex wife, Lorena Wood of Kingsville, TX; fiancé, Philina Zimmerman of Topeka; a brother, Nicholas Wood of Dittmer, MO; step brothers, James Peacock of Ware, MO and Austin Keyes of Ottawa, KS; a sister, Casidy (Joshua) Julian of Beulah, ND; step sister, Haley Richards of Ware, MO; step grandparents, Doyle and Willa Keyes of Versailles, MO and a step grandmother, Martha Lumley of Hardinsburg, IN.
Mitchell had expressed to his family he wanted to be cremated. Memorial services will be Saturday, July 30, 2016 (Time pending) at the Hopewell Church of God in Hopewell, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mitchell Wood Memorial Fund and sent in care of the Denison State Bank.
