Virgil Clark Arbogast

Virgil Clark Arbogast, age 75 of Topeka, passed away July 21, 2016. He was born July 19, 1941 in Topeka to Wayne Clark (known as Chuck Wayne on WIBW Radio) and June Martin Arbogast. Virgil graduated in 1959 from Seaman High School. He worked for Drug Distributors then the Goodyear Tire and Rubber warehouse for 35 years, retiring in 1999. He also did remodeling and built many garages, decks and porches. Virgil shot trap at the Goodyear Trap Club and Sporting Clays at Cokeley Farms. He was a competitive shooter, deer hunter and loved to fish. He loved and respected the outdoors. He married Kathy Ramsey in June 1962. They later divorced in 1997. He married Connie Runkle Hernandez July of 2000. Virgil was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Roy and his brother Ford Arbogast. He is survived by his wife, Connie, his son Jody Arbogast, daughter Crystal Arbogast, grandsons, Austin (Bree) Arbogast and Isaac Lewis; step children, Michael (Amy), Twyla, Sam (Kelli), and BJ Hernandez; grandchildren, Kayla, Kelsey, Zane, Sage, Hailey, Brandon, Navi and Hiro and greatgrandchildren, James and Kholby. sister in law, Joan Arbogast, nephews, Allan and Eric and their families.
Per Virgil’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Family and friends will meet Friday, July 29, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Please bring your stories and memories and help us celebrate Virgil’s life. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice and left in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.
